High school senior Tyler Cirulnick was recently selected for the National Association for Music Education’s All-Eastern Mixed Choir. This selection places Cirulnick among the most accomplished student-musicians in New York and one of only seven chosen from the state in the All-Eastern Mixed Choir’s Alto II section.

“I have witnessed countless examples of quality performers, and Tyler has the skill set to succeed in this field,” said her teacher, Dr. Rich Harris. “I believe her successes over the past few years in chorus and theater have helped define her as a willing and passionate artist who understands what it takes to succeed in the arts. She performs with such a high level of passion and is never done working and reflecting on her performances. Tyler notices the small things that matter in this art, but more importantly, she questions why they matter. I am beyond excited for Tyler, as she is recognized as one of the best vocalists on the East Coast.”

“We wish to honor and congratulate both Tyler and Dr. Harris for this stellar achievement,” said Brian Kroll, Islip’s director of fine and performing arts.
