Principal's Message

Dear CRES Community:

I am thrilled to share that the school year is off to a fantastic start! It has been wonderful to see our CRES students coming to school each day with bright smiles, ready to learn, and excited to be with their friends. There is a palpable energy in our hallways as students settle into their routines, engage in classroom activities, and connect with their peers.

One of the key reasons for this positive start is the incredible warmth and dedication of our staff. From the moment students step off the bus, they are greeted with kindness and enthusiasm. Our teachers and support staff work tirelessly to create an environment where each student feels valued, safe, and encouraged to do their best.

We are so proud of our Commack Road community, and we look forward to all the great things to come this year. Thank you for your ongoing support in helping to make this a wonderful school for our children to learn and grow.

Warm regards,

Jacqueline Beckmann

Holiday Flashback: Remembering Last Month’s Caroling Extravaganza

Holiday Flashback: Remembering Last Month’s Caroling Extravaganza thumbnail263569

Student singers from Islip High School and Islip Middle School embarked on their caroling rounds across the district on Dec. 19, making cheerful stops at Commack Road, Sherwood, Wing and the district office, as well as over the high school’s PA system. Led by Dr. Rich Harris, who accompanied the singers on keyboards, the approximately 100 choral students worked hard to prepare for this exuberant annual celebration of holiday music and community spirit.

“This is one of our favorite Islip traditions, and a reminder of music’s ability to connect us all, especially during the holidays,” Director of Fine and Performing Arts Michael Hershkowitz said.
